The Challenge
After successfully delivering Europe’s largest bean sprout factory, RCA was entrusted by J Pao Company Ltd to construct a major facility in the UK. The ambition was bold:
“Create a plant that would rank among the largest bean sprout production sites globally.”
At the time, only one facility in Japan surpassed this scale. The challenge was not just size—it was about integrating advanced technology, ensuring operational efficiency, and meeting stringent quality standards while supporting high-volume production for UK and Northern European markets.

High-Capacity Production: Ability to produce 300 tonnes of fresh bean sprouts per week.

Cold store Excellence: Multiple chilling rooms to maintain freshness and quality during distribution.
Sustainability & Efficiency: A dedicated water treatment plant to support eco-friendly operations.
Modern Infrastructure: A high-capacity packing area and a contemporary office block designed for streamlined workflows.
The Result
The completed facility became the second-largest bean sprout plant in the world and a benchmark for innovation in food manufacturing. J Pao Company Ltd now operates with unmatched efficiency, ensuring consistent supply across the UK and Northern Europe while maintaining the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
